RCA Breaking News Executor: Progress Update

Some days the work is a headline number. Today the work was underneath the hood, the kind that does not show up in a single session’s results but decides whether every future session can be trusted.

The executor’s core, its engine, its broker interface, its universe gates and its order-management layer, went through a substantial rebuild today. Alongside it came a new regression harness that reproduces a reference stop-limit backtest bar by bar against 21,068 real one-minute bars and 56 reference executions. That closes a gap that mattered: the entry fill used to be assumed; now it is derived from the same production logic the executor trades with, against real market data, bar by bar. When the maths and the market disagree, this is what catches it, before a session does.

New coverage went in alongside it for trade management, end-of-day flattening, and the gates that define the tradeable universe, the seams where a quiet bug does the most damage precisely because it hides between sessions.

And a second execution track came online: a dedicated path for Activist Investing, built on Alpaca, running alongside the original multi-category executor over the Live News Feed. The research thesis and the live execution are no longer two separate efforts; one is starting to become the other.

None of this is a claim of a finished system. It is a record of real ground covered, the same discipline this Ledger applies to every scored session applied here, to the tools that do the scoring and the trading. The work continues, and it will keep being recorded exactly as it happens, including the parts still in progress.

Junto con eso llegó un nuevo arnés de regresión que reproduce, vela a vela, un backtest de referencia de stop-limit contra 21,068 velas reales de un minuto y 56 ejecuciones de referencia. Eso cierra una brecha que importaba: el fill de entrada antes se asumía; ahora se deriva de la misma lógica de producción con la que el ejecutor opera, contra datos reales de mercado, vela a vela. Cuando las matemáticas y el mercado no coinciden, esto es lo que lo detecta, antes de que lo haga una sesión real.

Junto con eso entró cobertura nueva para la gestión de operaciones, el aplanado de fin de día, y las compuertas que definen el universo operable, las costuras donde un bug silencioso hace más daño precisamente porque se esconde entre sesiones.

Y entró en línea una segunda vía de ejecución: un camino dedicado para Activist Investing, construido sobre Alpaca, corriendo junto al ejecutor multi-categoría original sobre el Live News Feed. La tesis de investigación y la ejecución en vivo ya no son dos esfuerzos separados; uno está empezando a convertirse en el otro.

Nada de esto es una afirmación de sistema terminado. Es un registro de terreno real cubierto, la misma disciplina que este Ledger aplica a cada sesión puntuada, aplicada aquí a las herramientas que puntúan y operan.
